Environmental Matters
The Principle Healthcare Group commits itself to the prevention of pollution and aims to reduce the impact of its activities. We also strive to continually make improvements through the development of environmental performance evaluation procedures and indicators. The Principle Healthcare Group is committed to complying with all legislation. Environmental regulations, laws and codes of practice will be regarded as minimum standards of environmental performance.
In March 2008 Principle Healthcare International gained an accreditation for ISO14001 Environmental Standard.
Environment Policy
Principle Healthcare Group formulates, produces and distributes a wide range of food supplements to many of the UK’s largest retailers.
The group companies maintain that the primary aim of it’s environmental strategy is to minimise resource consumption through product development, sustainable waste management and the prevention of pollution. We recognise our responsibility to recycle materials wherever possible.
The company has set a number of environmental objectives designed to improve our environmental performance:
- Look to reduce the amount of packaging we use or try to find alternatives from sustainable sources
- Reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill
- Look for viable ways to reduce energy consumption
- Company performance against the environmental objectives will be regularly reviewed
The board of directors are fully committed to the implementation of this policy and give full backing to all those authorised to carry it out. This policy has been communicated to all employees, it also available on request from the company head office.
